Automatic Notification Options

Automatic City Snow Route and Odd/Even Parking Notifications can be signed up for on the City of Des Moines' website.  The notifications will tell you when snow routes and residential streets are scheduled to be plowed. To receive direct Snow Removal Notifications subscribe to one or more of the following:

• If you wish to know when parking is prohibited on city streets, choose "Snow-Snow Routes & Residential Streets". 
• If you wish to receive emails when parking is allowed on the odd or even side of the street, where permitted,  choose "Snow - Odd/Even Parking Notifications".

Once  your request has been submitted, a confirmation email will be sent to your email address. To complete the process click on "Confirm Subscriptions" link from the email.
 

Texts

• If you would like to be notified via text when parking is prohibited on residential streets, text DMSNOW to 96000.
• If you would like to be notified via text about when parking is prohibited for Odd/Even Side Snow Parking Zones, text DMODDSNOW to 96000.
