Experiential Education

One of the highlights of a Drake education is the hands-on experience our students receive as part of the curriculum.  As an Occupational Therapy student, you will have many opportunities to learn from professionals and gain experience in the field in Des Moines' many hospitals, clinics, private practices, schools, special-care facilities and other non-clinical settings.  There are additional experiential opportunities throughout the state and country.  The supportive Drake community of practitioners and alumni across the country and around the world offers opportunities for job shadowing, internships, and mentoring to enhance learning.
